Quoted in the Grove:
Most men’s anger about religion is as if two men should quarrel for a lady they neither of them care for.
~Edward F Halifax
We have just enough religion to make us hate, but not enough to make us love one another.
~Jonathan Swift
Ah! what a divine religion might be found out if charity were really made the principle of it instead of faith.
~Percy Bysshe Shelley
End Quote:
I would rather live my life as if there is a God and die to find out there isn’t, than live my life as if there isn’t and die to find out there is.
~Albert Camus

Not mentally spry –
How to fit “conduit” to ‘Ku ?
Oh LOOK! A squirrel!

I wouldn’t consider the great ruler of the universe to be prying into my life just because IT puts so many helpful angels into it. I am eternally grateful to IT for allowing my own being to be a conduit to its’ unfathomable loving power as well. My life hasn’t been easy or without deep suffering, but I am soooo happy that I have gotten this far!

Impromptu: frivolous, fickle
~MissMerry: MM Impromptu
How fickle is age –
Frivolous pursuits of youth
Morning reminds us
~
~Odin: Impromptu words
The blood brother may appear frivolous, but it is only an act
always with focus he comes to a fray, and with it his victims are sacked.
Speak truth to him; be true to yourself, and he will never be fickle
Support you he will, take you side until he leaves you not in pickle.
Lie to him; lie to yourself, expect some nasty in haste
a trickster’s wrath will for sure leave behind a greatly remembered taste.

~Dharmie: Gummy Worms
I came down the stairs this morning to see Little Lindy eating her breakfast of gummy worms. My fickle little sister won’t eat much else… at all. If my frivolous parents hadn’t spent most all the grocery money on scratch tickets every week, they could’ve trained her stomach better. But, no, so she eats and smiles as I also eat my gummy worm breakfast and cry and long for the nutrition that will not come.

~Greenie: Does
Does a Comet ever burn as bright
if there’s no one to see it soar through the night
Does the sun lose its brilliant heat
like two hearts whose love they never meet
Do the stars fade away and dim
like the passing of a frivolous whim
Do dreams burn away and end
if there’s no hope to carry them like wind
Does a lonely heart forever yearn
like solar flares that ever burn…
